Siemens, Hull
Following a £310 million combined investment by Siemens and ABP, piling work and Europe's largest wind turbine manufacturing plant began in July 2015.
Siemens will create 1000 new jobs, along with a wealth of opportunity for local people and businesses.
In 2017 the eyes of the world will be on Hull as it hosts the UK City of Culture celebrations on behalf of the whole nation.
The city will be the stage for 365 days of unique culture experiences and events that will attract more then one million additional visitors to Hull, delivering a £60 Million boost to the local economy in 2017 alone.

Capitalising on Hull's role as Yorkshire Port and meeting the proven, growing demand for European cruise ship growth, the economists benefits of our riverside are estimated £3.1 Million GVA economic impact for Hull and £10 Million for Yorkshire.
Fruit Market:
Known for its its galleries, music and performances and home to Hull's emerging digital sector, the city's historic's Fruit Market is now benefiting from an £80 Million facelift that will see its quirky character retained alongside the development of new leisure and residential areas.
You can see the renews confidence in Hull's retail sector. Since being announced the City of Culture 2017, 30 new business have opened in the City Centre, many of them specialist retailer run by young entrepreneurs who are attracting a new generation of shoppers.
